President and majority owner Shirley Smith started Avenir Travel & Adventures in 1991 but she has been deeply involved with Greece and Turkey since 1980, when she first set eyes on "her" Greek island of Symi, where she now has a home. She has been taking people to both countries since 1981 and visits Greece and Turkey several times each year, both leading groups and keeping abreast of new hotels and areas of interest.

In 2001, Shirley sold the full service travel agency, Avenir Travel and Adventures, to focus completely on Meander Adventures, specializing in Greece travel, Turkey travel and tours.

Meander Adventures has associate offices in both Greece and Turkey whose staff understand the needs and desires of our American clients. There is always someone nearby at the other end of the phone line to help with changes or small problems that may arise.

Meander Adventures is located in the small ski resort town of Park City, high in the mountains of Utah. We can assist with your international and domestic flights to and within Greece and Turkey.
